Rita Cosby

I watched her show tonite. What a phony.

One segment was on some refugees from the hurricane who got $2,000 from Fema for living expenses and used the money to buy alchohol and who where filmed spending a day sitting around a park and drinking rather than looking for work.

Of course there's millions in fraud going on with FEMA and favored contractors. But, that's not important. What's important is that we should be controlling the everyday behavior of people in dire straits. After all, it's for their own good.

Well, it's there damn money. Leave them alone.

I've been homeless and down to my last dollar. I didn't buy food with it -- I bought a quart of beer.

Another segment was about the film of the guy getting pulled out of a burning car. The film shows 4 people pulling him out. Two cops, and two passerbyers.

The cops, of course, were just doing their job. They got paid to do that. The other two guys were putting their own lives at risk simply because a stranger needed help.

According to Rita Cosby the cops are heroes. She interviewed them on her show. Heroes. She never even mentioned the two guys who just did the right thing, and weren't getting paid to do it.

Don't you just love it when cops say "at that time" instead of saying "then". Where do these guys learn the language?
